You Tube

Unicef have made this You tube clip to advertise their Copenhagan Climate Control forum. It is a call out for students to become involved. This is a great tool to use in the classroom as an introduction to a unit on Climate change. They use real life footage and also are organising a real life event for it. When I saw this, it worked well as I was also wanting to use Google Earth in the unit as well. The students could go to Google Earth and look at the areas shown in the footage in the You tube Clip.
There is also handouts from Unicef to help encourage and educate the students to do their part by reducing their carbon footprint.
The class or school could also become involved in this, and the class could do all of the organisation. The class could film, do maps to show and educate others in the school about Climate change. Our class could also do exhibitions using and demonstrating Google Earth, Maps and could do pwerpoint presentations of what they had learnt so far.
